Student Summer Career Program
About the Program
Student job opportunities relevant to their field of study with a wage subsidy. Students at secondary, college and university level, eligible for the Summer Career Program (SCP) are encouraged to apply with the Kanesatake Employment and Training Service Center.
Requirements
Be a full-time student and be enrolled full-time for the following fall session. Be in secondary IV or V or be 15 years of age or older before July 1st of the current year. The summer job must be relevant to the participant’s field of study. Proof of registration for the fall session is required prior to work start date.
Conditions
Project duration will be a minimum of six weeks and a maximum of 10 weeks. High school six ( 6 ) weeks, college eight ( 8 ) weeks and university ten ( 10 ) weeks. Employment must be for a minimum of 30 hours a week and must not exceed 40 hours a week. Applications will be approved based on the criteria met and funding availability
