Social Economy Development Officer

Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and in collaboration with the Kanesatake Business and Economic Development. Under the direct supervision of the Economic Development Manager, the Social Economy Development Officer will be responsible to assist and support the Manager with tasks associated to promoting and fostering the growth of social entrepreneurial development at the business and community level through small- and large-scale projects.

The Social Economy Development Officer will foster the engagement of interested individuals and parties and supporting them in the design and implementation of projects that will contribute positively to the social and economic development of the community and individuals. Ultimately, we aim to develop more prosperous, safe, and dynamic communities in a sustainable perspective.

Project Leader, eco-agricultural development

Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and in collaboration with the Kanesatake Business and Economic Development. Under the direct supervision of the Economic Development Manager, the Agricultural Development Project Leader will be responsible for planning, organizing, and deploying an agricultural economic sector as part of a series of projects to improve the community’s overall development prospects.

The development objective of the agricultural sector is to implement structuring economic activities, dedicated to food security and the economic and social prosperity of the Kanien’kehĂ  community. In addition to the community’s population, agricultural activities will provide outlets for local restaurants and public food services, such as our schools.
