The Native Benefits Plan (NBP) is seeking candidatures for the following positions:

Administrative assistant.
Pension Plan Advisor Level 1.
Actuarial Advisor Level 1.
Senior Pension Plan Advisor.

The Native Benefits Plan is an Aboriginal organization that aims to be the reference in pension fund management and expert in social benefits for First Nations in Quebec. Since its creation in 1979, the RBA has been committed to improving the financial autonomy of First Nations members.

The incumbent administers the Plan’s benefits. The incumbent performs various Level 1 benefit calculations such as termination of participation, retirement, buy-back, and payments. They process beneficiary designations, send the Plan’s summary to new members, and respond to requests for different forms. They help establish and maintain an organizational culture focused on collaboration and meeting customer needs, and always acts with tact and diplomacy.

The Actuarial Operations Assistant will be primarily responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail related to member requests, including scanning, opening requests and managing follow-ups. They will also support the team of advisors in the Employer Services and Member Services departments in their administrative tasks, including travel planning, printing documents, making appointments, etc. The incumbent will also be responsible for reception in conjunction with the person occupying the position of Assistant to the Actuarial and IT Manager. This includes greeting visitors and delivery personnel, transferring calls and other tasks.

The incumbent oversees participating employer’s application of, and compliance with, plan regulations. The incumbent provides ongoing training on the specific characteristics of the pension plans to clients of his or her department and maintains good business relationships.
