Director of Education
Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and under the direct supervision of the Education Portfolio Chief, the Director of Education is the Council’s educational executive officer responsible for the organization and operations of the Kanesatake Education Center, and the schools of Kanesatake.
Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake, the Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations and delivery of programs and services to the community of Kanesatake. He/she achieves sound financial and human resources management through effective and efficient policies, procedures, and operations. The Executive Director supervises the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake’s Program Managers and is the team leader of the MCK management team.
Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and the direct supervision of the Finance Manager, the Finance Clerk is responsible for the duties associated to accounts payable; budget control, general ledger; accounts receivable and other Finance Clerk duties.
Language Development Officer
Under the authority of the Mohawk Council of Kanesatake and under the direct supervision of the Language and Culture Program Manager, the Language Development Officer is responsible to promote the Kanien’kehá:ka culture, language and history in the schools, workplaces and the community. The Kanien’kéha Language Development Officer would plan and execute Kanien’kéha language activities in cooperation with the Cultural Development Officer.
